Today (Wednesday), I made an apple strudel and bacon for breakfast while Bruce mowed.
After eating breakfast with Bruce, I went out and looked at all the work he had done on cutting up the exploded tree.

I decided before I got into the poison ivy, I should dump my compost scraps collector into the compost bin.
I almost stepped on a little black snake who was hanging out by the compost bin. He took off, but I saw it wave its the end of its tail pretending to be a rattlesnake.
I put on my protective gear and headed out to pull up the poison ivy by the fallen tree from the three trunk tree.
Once I pulled the poison ivy from the downed tree area, Bruce moved in to start sawing it up.
I continued to pull poison ivy from the back pasture. I moved into the yard. I brought the clippers with me to cut up tough vines. I used the clippers to cut back trees growing on the fence. This allowed me to reach the poison ivy growing on the fence. I did use the clippers to cut the poison ivy growing on the fence post.
As I pushed the trash can with the open contractor trash bag towards the road, I stopped along the way to pull up the poison ivy from around the big oak tree out front. I pulled the vines down from the oak tree. I headed over to one of the pines that has a lot of poison ivy on it. Bruce said, “that pine tree and the area around it are eat up with poison ivy.” I pulled up poison ivy and I pulled it down from the tree. The bag was full, so I stopped my eradication efforts and tied the bag closed.
I took the trash can to the road. The two contractor bags full of poison ivy filled up the large trash can.
It was about 4:00 PM, so I had been fighting the evil weed for almost five hours. No wonder I was feeling so sore and exhausted.
Bruce worked hard at cutting up the second trees on the fence. He wanted to cut the tree so it was no longer on the fence. He was successful.
We had leftover lamb chops for supper with asparagus and a microwaved potato. Bruce microwaved the potatoes while I cooked the asparagus.
We had a beautiful sunset today.

I’m exhausted just reading about your day! It must feel good to know that much ivy is no longer hiding in your yard. 😊
