Where did January go? It was here and gone in a flash.
Yesterday, we got a lot of rain throughout the day. I got to see the new gutters and downspouts in action.

It had stopped raining and the night sky was spectacular. I was lying in bed with Nox snoring next to me, when I head it start to rain heavily. I was glad Nox had already been outside for the night.
This morning, Nox was raring to get outside. Blackberry Homestead was covered in a thick blanket of fog. The fog was thicker in person than the pictures show.

Hear are some bird pictures taken recently.

Are the house finches a family? The dad with his red breast is up close. The mom with two chicks are towards the end of the gutter.
The blue jay, robins, blue birds, the mockingbird and a flicker were out and about this morning. I was able to get a shot of the blue jay with a robin next to him. The blue birds were perching on the pump house, then the gutter.
The following pictures were all taken this morning.

I look at these somewhat disappointing pictures and consider if I should get a good zoom digital camera. Maybe I can get a lens for my phone?
It is a lovely day here, and for the next couple of days!
