Yesterday, we finished putting together the large (12 piece) short (15 inches) garden beds from Epic Gardening’s Amazon shop. Our configuration is 4 feet by 8 feet. These garden beds are from Australia and the company is Birdies Garden Products. For their USA customers, they sell their garden beds through Epic Gardening.
We received our shipment of the six large (12 pieces) tall (29 inches) garden beds yesterday.
We put together one bed today. The tall beds are harder to put together than the short beds. Bruce was on the outside of the bed pushing the bolts through the holes while I sat on the inside of the bed and put the nuts on the bolts. I also attached the bracing inside the bed. Bruce put the safety edging on the top edge.
Bruce had the idea to purchase two colors of small flags, one to flag poison ivy and the other to flag plants I want to keep. I picked the bright orange to flag poison ivy. I went around the yard yesterday and today flagging poison ivy. Here are a few pictures of some of the flags.

We get so many weeds in our yard and garden. I wonder if the raised garden beds will result in less weeds.

It should. Supposedly, six inches of soil will smother and kill most weeds. Bind weeds are an exception.
