Nox woke me up this morning; she needed to go out. After Nox came back inside, I decided to make tea.
I didn’t notice water on the stove top at first. The puddle of water was on the opposite side of the stove top from last time.
I was thinking about what I wanted for breakfast, when I noticed the puddle.
We had a heavy downpour last night with some lightning and thunder. (Why do we say lightning and thunder? If there is lightning, thunder follows.)

I am so glad we are getting a new roof next week, if the weather holds up. If it doesn’t, it will be the week after.
Oh no!

I think I may know the answer to “lightning and thunder”. It is how we organize vowel sounds in English. They always follow the A-E-I-O-U order. Like “Little Red Riding Hood”. In this case I comes before U.
Oh dear! How long until the new roof? I hope you have plenty of pots and pans to catch the rain until it’s installed.

If the weather holds out, it will be installed next week, otherwise, the week after.

Well, what another bummer! Hope the new roof “seals” the rest of the house as well!

I hate to think what is going on in the roof if water is dripping on your stove. Good thing the new roof is coming soon.
