Another Puddle on the Stove Top

November 26, 2024

Nox woke me up this morning; she needed to go out. After Nox came back inside, I decided to make tea.

I didn’t notice water on the stove top at first. The puddle of water was on the opposite side of the stove top from last time.

I was thinking about what I wanted for breakfast, when I noticed the puddle.

We had a heavy downpour last night with some lightning and thunder. (Why do we say lightning and thunder? If there is lightning, thunder follows.)

Another Puddle

I am so glad we are getting a new roof next week, if the weather holds up. If it doesn’t, it will be the week after.

  1. I think I may know the answer to “lightning and thunder”. It is how we organize vowel sounds in English. They always follow the A-E-I-O-U order. Like “Little Red Riding Hood”. In this case I comes before U.

Oh dear! How long until the new roof? I hope you have plenty of pots and pans to catch the rain until it’s installed.
