This morning, I started assembling my new artist desk from Amazon. I got part way into the assembly process when I realized they really meant two people were needed.
At that moment, Bruce wandered into my office. Bruce was happy to help. I read the instructions, gave Bruce the screws and installed some of the screws. Bruce and I took turns holding various parts up while the other one screwed it in.
It was a fun project and the desk looks great. The stool that came with the desk and had to be assembled, is wobbly.

After getting my desk put together, we headed over to to the RV to do more laundry.
Once the laundry was started, we headed out to an estate sale.
I found a rocking chair, a flip top server, a beautiful plant pot, a crystal candle holder and a glass pitcher.
I am repurposing the flip top server as a night stand for now. I plan to find something smaller for a night stand and another use for the flip top server later.

Bruce and I have been stopping at thrift stores and bargain stores to find sheets and other random things we need or want.
After we got back to the RV, I started another load of laundry.
We spent some time emptying cabinets and putting items into reusable bags so we could take them to the house.
When the next to last load was dry, I folded it and put the last laundry load into the dryer.
We loaded up the truck and headed to Blackberry Homestead. It still feels a bit strange that the RV is no longer home.
I can imagine it is weird after this amount of time! I did not realize you were making so many changes as a result.

It is a completely different lifestyle and we are making so many changes! My RV was my home and I loved it. I loved being in an area and exploring it. We haven’t been to any tourist attractions since we bought the house. I am considering spending one day a week seeing the local sights.

You find such wonderful things at your thrift shops! I can’t wait to see what else you do to decorate.
It seems that your property will give you many chances to explore and discover fossils and wildlife!

Yes, it will, as well as farm animals.

It’s really a shame the packaging for your desk included so much unrecyclable trash.

Yes, I looked at it and thought, this should be good for something. Unfortunately, nothing came to mind.

Your comment got me to thinking so more, surely others have this problem with the packaging material. I googled it and found it is very recyclable. The trick is finding someone to take it. Apparently, in the UK, it is one of the most recycled products. They don’t recycle it here though.
