My friend Jeanne from ajeanneinthekitchen.com said she would love a piece of art from me.
I decided to make it a collaboration and used a picture Jeanne took as my starting point. Jeanne’s picture was of white Irises edged with a beautiful dark purple.
I worked on her picture for several days.

I am going to suggest to Jeanne that she frames my picture and her picture with the same framing and matting. Then she can display them together and it would be a fun collaboration.
Since Jeanne wanted her picture to be a surprise, this will be published after Jeanne gets her picture. Bruce is going to take it with him when he goes to Colorado to let the movers into our storage units.
Update: The movers moving our belongings was canceled. See the earlier post from today.
It must feel good to take some time to create. The irises are beautiful, and I’m sure Jeanne loved them! ❤️ 💕

Jeanne just sent a text letting me know how much she loved the Irises.
I am look forward to getting my room set up to be able do art comfortably.
I am considering joining the Tennessee Valley Art Association, but want to get settled in a bit more.

Not only did Julia draw me this gorgeous picture, but she also gave me a fun tea towel that is just perfect for me. It says “It’s all fun and games until the wine is gone”. It couldn’t be more perfect. 🙂 I am most definitely going to frame my beautiful iris picture. Irises were my mother’s favorite flower, and they have also become some of my favorite flowers. Every time I see irises, I think of my mom, and I know she is nearby.
I think you should absolutely join the art association. You are a fabulous artist. 🙂
