On Sunday, September 29, we stopped at the house to make sure everything was fine. We saw large tree limbs down as we neared the RV park. We were worried we might have tree limbs down.
While at the house, I noticed signs of mice.
Yesterday, September 30, we stopped by Rural King and bought some mouse traps. Bruce set the mouse traps and left them in spots that had obvious mouse activity.
I cleaned the shelves, hanger rods and floors in the closets. The closets were very dusty.
While I cleaned, Bruce put fire ant poison on the fire ant beds.
Today, we checked to see if any of the mouse traps did their job. One mouse had been caught.
I spent the afternoon cleaning the kitchen cabinets and drawers. They were very dusty.
Once cleaned, I started putting away the kitchen utensils, small appliances, dish towels and food we had brought over from the RV.
I did discover that I need drawer organizers and spice organizers.

Wow, lots of drawer space in the kitchen!
Have you considered getting a cat? They make mouse removal more interesting! 😆

Getting a cat did cross my mind, but with Nox being so old, we don’t want to introduce any revivals for our attention.

😂🤣😂 The joys of a new house. Hopefully the mouse problem clears up quickly and you can get settled before the holidays.

Mice are a regular problem where we live. Ugg. We just have to keep a bunch of traps out in the laundry room, kitchen pantry, and other areas where we see them. Hope you do not have that.

We didn’t catch another mouse yesterday, so I hoping we are done with mice for a while. At our last house, we had mice in the woodpile and Nox would catch them, kill them and then bring them inside to hide in her bed.

haha that sounds more like what a cat would do!

Nox was an amazing mouser. Her terrier shake was a sight to behold. She has really slowed down and ai don’t think she can catch mice anymore.
