Yesterday morning (September 3), we decided to go out to breakfast after dropping off our earnest money check.
We picked Big Bad Breakfast, a small chain restaurant started in Oxford, Mississippi. It is a combination of Southern and New Orleans style breakfast and lunch restaurant.
The food was delicious. I ordered the French toast; while it wasn’t the best French toast I’ve had, it comes close. The side of bacon I ordered was outstanding. The fresh fruit that decorated the French toast was ripe and delicious.
Bruce ordered the Fried Oyster Scramble. The Fried Oyster Scramble consisted of two scrambled eggs, bacon, tomatoes, potatoes, mayo, topped with fried Gulf oysters resting on jalapeño slices. Bruce was impressed by the quality and how good everything tasted.
The orange juice was freshly squeezed.
The presentations were beautiful and the service was outstanding.
We will be back!!!

If I didn’t have food allergies, I would definitely like to try the breakfast Bruce had!

I had no idea he was there, but we love John Currence and his restaurants and food. We have eaten at all of his Oxford locations, and will be meeting friends next week at the BBB here! Best huevos rancheros I have had since I left Texas, not to mention those jalepeño cheese grits.
