After our visit to Tuscumbia Spring Park on Sunday (August 11), Bruce wanted to see the Tennessee River.
I asked Google to take us to the nearest park on the Tennessee River and it provided directions. We went through a very sketchy part of town, before getting on major streets again.

The hiking trail went over the river and provided great views. The trail continued back to the shore and up the side of the rocky banks. We didn’t continue on the trail to the top, instead we turned around and headed back to the truck.
We’ve been to Spring Park. I loved the statue “Sacred Tears” found there. Also, you were really close to Ivy Green – Helen Keller’s home. Both were favorites of mine. Safe travels!

The “Sacred Tears” statue was very impressive. The expression of grief was captured perfectly.
We drove past Ivy Green, but it was closed on Sunday.
