I enjoy drawing pictures when I know who will receive it. A friend asked me for a picture of a hawk.
I looked at some photographs of various hawks and decided I wanted a hawk that he might see in Colorado.
I wanted a more dramatic picture than the hawk sitting on a branch. After some consideration, I decided on the rough-legged hawk flying. I particularly liked how the head was slightly turned to look at the viewer.

This is the first time I’ve picked up my pencils since we went full-time. I thought I’d have all this time to draw; I just haven’t.

Maybe do one five minute sketch a day? I would love to see your interpretation of the flowers you see.
