After our visit to the Japanese Internment Camps Museum in McGehee, we needed to walk around and process the information in the museum.
McGehee has two pocket parks that we explored.

After walking around for a bit, we geared up and rode towards Hwy 65.
Once we were on Hwy 65, we passed a sign for the Wiley A McGehee Memorial Park. From the road, it looked like a cypress slough with boardwalks. I got Bruce’s attention and he took the next exit. The park is next to and under the highway between the two exits.
We parked and walked along the first boardwalk. There were fish in the lake and many dragonflies. The dragonfly in the picture came up to us and hovered next to us for half a minute or so. While I took many pictures of it, most of them didn’t come out. I was delighted by the one below.
We then crossed the street and walked to the cypress slough. Its boardwalk was partially underwater.

We geared back up and headed home.
Later, we watched the sunset behind the farmer’s field in back of the RV park.

It was a beautiful way to end the day.
