Around Wytheville, Virginia

October 22, 2023

While we were at Fort Chiswell RV Park, we went to Wytheville, VA several times.

It is a walk friendly town in the Historic Downtown, with a walking trail connecting two parks.

One outing, we stopped in at Skeeter’s for lunch. We were disappointed with the hotdogs, but the toppings on the hotdogs were great. The chili cheese fries were delicious.

The town has several public parking lots as well as lots of street parking.

There is also a permanent building for the Farmers’ Market on Saturday. The first time we went, the market was closing down. The second time we went was much earlier and it was very lively.

We enjoyed our visits to Wytheville. We stopped in at a few museums, which I will post about separately.

      1. Haha! Yes, it is still considered the South, but mountains! Wytheville is a lovely town, with a nice mix of small businesses and chains. I was thinking how nice it was, but I just don’t want to deal with snow. Bruce thought it sounded just fine, but he grew up in Michigan.
