Off to Find BBQ

On September 18 (Monday), the weather had turned into a prefect fall day. It was sunny and in the 70’s F. It was a beautiful day to go for a motorcycle ride.

We took the backroads to get to Shaffer’s BBQ and Market.

The BBQ was tender and juicy, with a lovely smoke flavor. Bruce had the fried oysters, which he said were good.

As we were leaving, the pit master was taking BBQ out of the smoker. He was kind enough to let me take pictures.

He then pulled off a piece of meat and gave it to Bruce. He pulled off another piece and gave it to me. So goooood!

We geared up and headed back towards the RV with a stop at West Oaks Farm and Market.

I bought some vegetables and apples. I enjoyed looking at the gift store and purchased Alpaca hiking socks. We also bought a lamb roast, as Bruce loves lamb.

We continued back to the RV, where Nox was happy to see us.
