The Dishwasher Came!!!

November 8, 2024 I got several things yesterday from different deliveries. In the morning, I got the FedEx from Bruce, as well as the coveralls I ordered. You can tell I am not practiced in taking my picture in the mirror. The coveralls are heavier fabric than I expected and are very well made. I […]

Nox Having a Ball

November 6, 2024 Yesterday, I put a treat in the Magic Green Ball aka MGB for Nox. (The Magic Green Ball got its name when our dog Luna played with it. She would slowly chew on the ball with a look of pure bliss.) Nox had a ball getting the treat out. Here she is […]

Bruce Heads to Georgia by Way of Florida

November 6, 2024 Warning: This post has a lot of pictures, so it may be slow to load. On Monday (November 4), we went to the RV and I did the small amount of laundry we had. Bruce wanted to take as many clothes as he could on his trip. Nox was happy we took […]

I Found More Fossils!

November 3, 2024 I was picking up more rocks this afternoon, when I noticed several had fossils. I was delighted to find more fossils and even a new type of fossils. The hole may be a fossilized worm hole (a trace fossil) and not a crinoid. I have been moving rocks to our burn pile […]

November 3, 2024 After the rain we had on Friday, the violets started blooming today. Violets blooming next to the patio. Here’s another close up of violet next to the patio.

Bee Bum in Morning Glories

November 3, 2024 Yesterday, Bruce and I were walking around Blackberry Homestead. I noticed the morning glories blooming. A moment caught my eye, it was a bumblebee bum. I tried to get the camera in focus to capture the bee bum. The bee decided it had enough and backed out of that morning glory flower. […]

Fall Has Fallen

November 2, 2024 The small tree out front went from green, to a few yellow leaves, to leaves all over the ground in just a few days. Our neighbors’ pear tree has started turning red. The pecan trees leaves are turning as well.

Artist Desk Assembled and Estate Finds

November 1, 2024 This morning, I started assembling my new artist desk from Amazon. I got part way into the assembly process when I realized they really meant two people were needed. At that moment, Bruce wandered into my office. Bruce was happy to help. I read the instructions, gave Bruce the screws and installed […]

Closet Organization

November 1, 2024 Yesterday, my foldable storage boxes for linens arrived from Amazon. They arrived flat and were super easy to use. I put the two sheet sets into two boxes and the extra pillow cases for the sheets on the bed into another box. I really like having the sheets in the boxes. They […]

October 31, 2024 I just got a call from Roto-Rooter. The estimate is from $750 to $800. They can come out next week to get the drain plumbing sorted! We can afford to throw money at and Bruce doesn’t have be thrown underneath the house to repair the pipes! While I wish it could be […]
