I am having a dinner party for eight people. I love Indian food, so I am planning an spring dinner with an Indian flavor.

  • Date 4/2 – (Friday) – Do a head count of people coming
  • Date 4/7 – (Wednesday) – Order specialty items
  • Date – 4/8 (Thursday)
    • Buy all groceries
    • Buy flowers
  • Date – 4/9 (Friday)
    • Soak Chickpeas overnight
    • Set deboned Leg of Lamb to marinate overnight
    • Make Coconut Green Chutney
    • Mint Coriander Chutney
    • Cucumber Raita
  • Date – (Saturday)
    • 7:00 AM Start Naan
    • 8:00 AM Start Chana Masala
    • 8:30 AM Finish up Naan
    • 9:30 AM Tomato and Green Pepper Salad
    • 10:00 PM Make Cumin Spiced Potatoes
    • 10:40 AM Steam potatoes for patties in Instant Pot
    • 11:00 AM Set table (Normally I would do this the night before.)
    • 1:30 PM Prep appetizers
    • 2:00 PM Cook Pineapple sesame
    • 3:30 PM Start Basmati Pilau (rinse rice and let it sit)
    • 4:00 PM Put water on the table with sliced lemons, ginger and raspberries and fresh mint leaves
    • 4:30 PM Turn Instant Pot on to cook Basmati Pilau
    • 4:40 PM Fry potatoes patties
    • 4:50 PM Fry paneer cheese
    • 4:55 PM Pre-heat grill
    • Guest arrive at time 5:00 PM – Party Time!
    • 5:10 PM Put Lamb on grill
    • 5:30 PM Carrot and Green Pea Porial
    • 5:40 PM Check lamb and turn it over
    • 5:40 PM Reheat Naan in oven
    • 5:40 PM reheat Cumin spiced potatoes and Chana Masala
    • 6:00 PM Remove Lamb from Grill
    • 6:10 PM Remove flowers from table and carry food to table
    • 6:15 PM Time to eat!
